“But now, thus says the Lord, who created
you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not,
for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine.” (Isaiah 43:1; New King James Bible
Version (NKJV).
“Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your
heart.” (Psalm
37:4; (NKJV).
“The
Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love;
Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.” (Jeremiah 31:3; (NKJV).
“Let
this mind be in you that was also in Christ Jesus,” (Philippians 2:5; (NKJV).
Life
is an entirely good thing, for God never created evil in any way, shape, or
form to interfere with the harmony of divine Spirit’s creation. Through no effort of our own, we have been
created as spiritual beings in body, mind, and soul. Life is an eternal thing, the understanding to
which we must awaken; for sickness and death aren’t real conditions belonging
to God’s off-spring, anywhere or anytime. We are simply ‘sleeping’ in the
collective dream of finite materiality.
And when in a dream, or lower level of consciousness, we don’t perceive
anything outside of the dream-state.
Thus, our memories of our true Home, the Kingdom of God, are sleeping
within us…that is, within our innate spiritual sense of reality.
This
innate, spiritual consciousness that sleeps deep within each of us is often
referred to as, the Christ Consciousness.
This spiritual consciousness is fully awake to the truth of all being,
even as our sleeping, limited human level of thought dreams. Because our Christ Consciousness exists and lives
within God, it knows all Truth. This is
the ‘mind that was also in Christ Jesus,’
as referred to in the biblical Book of Philippians, Chapter 2, Verse 5. (See
last quotation on 1st page of article.)
In
our collective dream of materiality, however, we encounter bad people, places
and things in our daily ‘earthly’ experience.
But evils are simply the claim of the lack of good…lack of money,
lack of friends, lack of health, lack of life, and lack of any other good thing
you can think of. To the extent that we
take these ‘lacks’ as real because they have taken material form, (or rather, some
good thing seems to be missing in our
experience) we will suffer from them. They
will negatively impact our human experience.
Yet,
these bad situations occur only in
the outside world of form; for, beneath all the destructive things going on in
the physical sense of things (the external universe of form) there is a far
better ‘place’ in which we exist. In
fact, it is the only place we
actually exist; but we do not recognize it while in our materialistic-dream of
reality, because it is outside our limited, physical sense of perception.
Our
harmonious place, however, is our forever place. It is the Kingdom of God, which we have never
left, except in this dream-state of materiality. The collective illusion of finite, physical
being is a state of self-deception, from which Christ Jesus came to awaken us. The human beliefs about material being had
led humanity far and away from the spiritual truth of being. So, Christ Jesus, a spiritually-awakened
brother, came into the collective dream of materiality to show us the way
out.
Christ
Jesus taught, to his disciples, the truth of spiritual being, rather than
material being. Shifting away from the
false, material sense to the spiritual reality of existence, those early
disciples learned, from their Master, how to spiritually heal all who came to
them with their sick beliefs, which
had manifested into ill-health and all the ‘lacks’ that the false sense of
materiality creates.
For
four hundred years after Jesus left this world in the ascension, his teachings
to his disciples showed that hatred, poverty, disease, and the lack of any good
thing could be healed; but not by something material. God is infinite Spirit, who creates only spiritual
children, or off-spring. Jesus tried to
show his followers that their true identity was not material, but
spiritual. He demonstrated ‘the Christ’…the
true, spiritually universal identity of each and every one of God’s own
children. This is what he was trying to show:
that we are each and every one of us a child of God, the infinite
Creator, and the only Creator of any one or any thing in all creation. Like produces like. Spirit’s children are spiritual entities…not
material beings.
His
unusual birth recorded Christ Jesus’s entry into this illusory physical plane
or hypnotic dream-state of material being.
He came to show humanity the truth of being. As spiritual beings, we will each find
ourselves ever-lastingly whole and alive, when we spiritually awaken to who
we really are (God’s own off-spring) and where we really are (in the
spiritual kingdom of God, and nowhere else).
Jesus was his human name; but of this human name, St. Paul, the
Apostle, wrote, “Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh:
yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we
him no more.” (2 Corinthians 5:16, King James Bible (KJV). Paul
was explaining that the human name of Jesus signifies the earthly man…the
false, material man. The ‘Christ’ signifies
the spiritual identity of God’s own spiritual children.
To
this end, when Jesus was healing and preaching throughout his ministry, he
often asked the one asking for healing if he or she believed it could be done, or if they believed he could do it. Either way, it was their belief he
wanted to see. There was a very good
reason for this. The reason was that their own belief in material disease
and all other ‘evils’ was the hidden cause behind the manifestation of evil
that had to be changed, back toward the belief in health and wholeness again,
in order for health and wholeness to manifest again on their physical form. In other words, in order to return to
normalcy, they had to dis-believe in evil, as even a part of God’s harmonious
(heavenly) kingdom. Spiritual healing can
only occur when the disease-belief is cast out of consciousness, by realization
of God’s Allness of good.
Contrary
to our collective belief that evil is something, it is really nothing. Evil means the absence of all good. Thus, recognizing
the presence of only good in God’s forever, spiritual creation covers more than
the subject of health. It also has to do
with things like poverty, hatred, or lack of any God-created good. The divine creation includes only that which
contributes to the joy and harmony of existence…and nothing can overturn that
spiritual fact. In the Kingdom of God,
Heaven, only good is present. There is
no lack of any good, divinely created thing.
Each child of God is an individual soul.
Each of us shows a face of God, so to speak; for we each have a unique
identity, which finds joy and talents in different ways from everyone else.
Our
limited physical senses bear witness only to what is going on, out there, in
the physical world of form. We perceive
only what we can see, hear, touch, taste, and smell; and our material world is
filled with all sorts of ‘bad’ things to perceive with these five (often
deceptive) physical senses. Yet, the
belief of these physical senses as reality is the very thing we need to
overcome, in order to be free of the seeming-power of what is erroneously
recognized as physical ‘law’.
What
we call ‘evils’ are those material beliefs that seem to be destructively real. We manifest these situations on our physical
form, or in our daily lives, when we accept the collective belief in
materiality as reality. We erroneously
believe ourselves to be finite, physical beings, born through a chain of
material parents as the sources of our very being, harmony and health. This false belief mentally leaves God out of
Its own creation. This also leads us to
accept and believe that our physical forms are the masters of our bodies and we
are the servants, causing us to believe every material belief to our
detriment.
Sometimes
we find solace against our troubles in whatever faith we practice. Yet, our trust in an invisible God can often
seem to be merely wishful thinking…even though it is not. To perceive the invisible presence of God,
the infinite Spirit in which we all ‘live,
move, and have our being’, (Acts 17:28; NKJV) is no small thing. To
acknowledge the divine Presence with us, trust it, and stand firm in this
trust, will lead us out of whatever bad situation seems to engulf us, or have
us trapped.
Each
of us is governed by our own belief system and what we have chosen to be true
in this human experience. We are the
captains of our own ship, so to speak.
But realize this: if one feels like stealing something, it is the mind, not the hand, which orders the
hand to do so. The hand cannot think or
decide anything. And just in that same
way, whatever we THINK and BEIEVE about our health, (such as the effect of
time, inheriting some condition, catching some ailment) our physical form will
create the symptoms or other material evidence of this in or on our physical
form, until we mentally disown it. Then
it will withdraw from our physical form, without any outside help.
Living
with this lack of comprehension concerning the universe of divine Spirit, God,
we don’t question, as we should, the moments in our lifetimes when something
“unusual” happens, or is healed without material medicine, or a pathway opens
for us we never even thought possible. We don’t stop to pursue, or honor, the
wonderful, unusual thing that has just taken place.
For
example, take the story of the ten lepers who were healed of leprosy, during
Christ Jesus’ ministry. (See Luke 17:11-18,
NKJV). Only one of the ten healed from this dreaded
disease came back to Jesus to recognize, and honor, the spiritual power that
Jesus comprehended in order to work such a wondrous thing for the ten afflicted
ones.
Had
they ever asked ‘how’ they were healed, others might have learned the spiritual
science behind this phenomenon. That’s
what Jesus was trying to show all humanity, and that’s what his own disciples
learned; for, they continued to spiritually heal people of diseases for four
hundred years after Jesus left this earth in his ascension, before the church
doctrines of those ancient times drummed healing out of the churches.
God
created us to be joyful, productive, healthy, and eternal. God never abandoned us or left us in a
material dimension that we cannot escape, except through death. God never created death or loss of
consciousness, at all. These are false
dream-states from which we each must awaken, one day, either on this side, or
the other side, of an earthly grave. As
we call forth more of our innate Christ Consciousness within, we are awakening
more with each experience and triumph that divine truth reveals to us. Then, there will be no more death-dreams to
experience.
