Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord.  Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord.” (Jeremiah 23:24; (New King James Bible Version (NKJV).

Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” Whenever you turn to the right hand Or whenever you turn to the left.” says the Lord.”  (Isaiah 30:21; (NKJV).

"Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.  If I take the wings of the morning. And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,  Even there Your hand shall lead me,  And Your right hand shall hold me.  If I say, “Surely the darkness shall fall on me,” Even the night shall be light about me; Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, But the night shines as the day; The darkness and the light are both alike to You.” (Psalm 139:7-12; (NKJV).

News channels around the world often report stories of someone’s disappearance.  Sadly, these lost ones may have decided to run away from their family or friends, or they may have been kidnapped, against their will.  Some may have been babies, some older children, or even the elderly.  It really doesn’t matter.  What matters is finding them as quickly as possible, in order to know that they are safe and sound.

Friends and neighbors often work with families, for several years, to find these missing loved ones.  But, as material individuals, we don’t have the infinite sight it takes to know where, in the vastness of our world, to find them quickly.  But, I discovered one way that does work, quite dramatically, (at least it did in one instance that I experienced).

Many years ago, a friend of my mother called me to see if I could help find her missing son.  He had been missing for several months.  At the time, I was engaged in part-time spiritual healing work, (Christian Science) and, even though she didn’t understand what kind of ‘healing’ I was engaged in, it came to her thought to contact me.  So, I told her that I did prayer healing of a metaphysical nature, and I would certainly pray about the situation immediately, if she wanted.  I’m sure she was just trying whatever she could to find her son (who had a wife and children) because the whole family was fearful of what may have happened to their dad and husband.

Now, without going too far into the depth of things, I immediately went into meditation.  I shut off the telephone, TV, and locked my doors.  I knew I needed to shut out the distractions of the outside world, in order to mentally perceive the spiritual truth of all things, rather than the material, or physical sense of things.

So, I claimed the presence of the Christ Consciousness (the universal, innate consciousness that is within every one of us).  I knew that the Christ Consciousness is the term used in describing the spiritual consciousness that Christ Jesus was trying to show humanity. It is our real, innate spiritual consciousness of all things in God’s creation.

I did not beg God to do anything.  I knew that the infinite Spirit we call God is everywhere present in Its own creation, and didn’t need my help in maintaining eternal harmony.  I remembered that although people can seem lost to our human perception,  the perception of the divine Mind is never separated from a single child, or off-spring, in Its divine creation.  As I dwelled on this thought, a warm feeling of relief began to wash over me.  I suddenly realized, as never before, that God already knew exactly where the woman’s son was.  So, I mentally asked that infinite Mind, God, (to whom we’re all connected) to please let those of us still in this finite, material sense of things know where the woman’s son was.

Within just about five minutes, these words came to my thought:  “He’s where the action is”.  And then I suddenly knew what this meant!  He liked to gamble, I’d been told, and if he went away of his own accord, he might possibly be somewhere gambling. Yet, where?  And then I ‘saw’ him (in my mind’s eye) moving north, up the coast of California, going possibly to Oregon or Washington State.

Still, I didn’t get the ‘gambling’ thing.  So, I asked the Christ Consciousness within to show me the way, more precisely, to find him, or bring him back home to his family.  I felt more peaceful, then, and waited.

Soon, I felt that I should call the woman to tell her that her son was moving up the north coast of California, but I thought he’d come home, soon.  But before I could tell her, she said that she had just had a call from a clergyman in the northwest telling her that her son had showed up at their mission and wanted to come home, now.  The clergyman also said that her son was in a slightly confused state of mind.

So, in a couple of days he was put on a plane and came home.  But here’s the incredible thing: he had been doing the gambling circuit from Los Vegas, to Tahoe, and one other gambling location ‘where the action is’.

Now, I had no intelligence of my own to find him; but the Christ Consciousness is the God-Mind that we all share.  And once I realized that no one could be lost to God’s infinite Sight, then all I had to do was trust that truth.  It isn’t blind truth that I’m talking about.  There is a reason to trust the infinite Mind of the Almighty.  The reason is that God isn’t blind to anything, or anyone, in creation.  We are.

With our limited physical senses, we can see or hear only a short distance from our eyes and ears.  In our finite material forms, we just don’t have the scope of spiritual perception, so people and things can seem out of our perception range.  Yet, when we reconnect with the God-Mind, (where St. Paul said we all ‘live, and move, and have our being,’ (See Acts 17:28; NKJV) we have endless sight and endless hearing from within our own, true being.

So, whenever we seem to have ‘lost’ the presence of someone, it helps to realize that God, the Creator, has never lost sight of anything, or anyone, throughout eternity.  We exist in that spiritual realm of God, despite the appearances of materiality, ‘out there’ in the outer universe of finite form.  And when called upon, the Creator will never allow his materially lost children to experience harm.  But that’s a whole, other article.
