(God’s Revelation to Elijah:) “Your ears shall hear a word
behind you, saying, “This is
the way, walk in it,” Whenever you turn to the right
hand Or whenever you turn to the left.” (Isaiah 30:21, New King James Bible
Version (NKJV). “Then
He said, “Go out, and stand on the mountain before the Lord.” And behold, the Lord
passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the
rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not
in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; and after
the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice. 1st Kings 19: 11-12; New King James
Bible Version (NKJV). “God is
Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” (John 4:24; NKJV) In
this material-life experience, we seem
to live with the sense of two perceptions of what constitutes reality. One scenario presents a material sense of what constitutes Truth, and the other scenario
presents a spiritual sense of what constitutes Truth. These
two differing perceptions of reality will never agree with each other for they
are opposites. Thus, humanity seems to
have two paths to follow…the spiritual path or the material path. Individuals must one day decide which is the
true path of divine Truth, for there will never be a reconciliation between these
two pathways. The
biblical book of Revelation tells of the end time when the human race will be
finished. Before that time, each
individual must choose which path to follow…the physical path, or the spiritual
path. Now, it is wise to realize
that, despite the seeming reality of
two competing universes (material vs. spiritual) God has only one universe to
offer: the spiritual universe. Thus, whatever
material, human paths we follow, we must all bow before the one and only path
of Spirit because (in the end) there are no other destinations to consider. In other words, God’s spiritual creation is the only game in town. In
the meanwhile, for those who don’t like spiritual thinking, there are plenty of
distractions in the physical sense-world to entertain us every day; so why try
to awaken ourselves to the boring quest of finding our way back to our original,
spiritual Home? Well,
for one thing, our spiritual Home is harmonious. The Bible tells us, “There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun,
for the Lord God gives them light. And
they shall reign forever and ever.” Also, wars, sickness, and all kinds of other evils don’t
breed in our true Home. (See the biblical Book of Revelation, Chapter
22:5 for more info on the material end-of-days.) Now,
I could mention more reasons to pursue spiritual knowledge rather than
material beliefs, but you get the idea.
Our true everlasting Home is
in God’s creation, which is spiritual; thus, our true quest should be to awaken
to that fact. But in our quest for
Truth, realize this: the kingdom of God isn’t found in any material place. The kingdom of God exists in the spiritual
realm only, not in the physical dimension.
Now,
in this human experience, our bodies seem to be made of finite, material
substance and we have a short life span. Yet, our spiritual bodies have no finite, physical substance, for the
substance of Spirit does not wear out. Therefore,
our true, everlasting bodies are made of spiritual, ever-lasting substance,
where death cannot find us. So,
what does our earthly time represent to us who are still experiencing this
false sense of material existence? It
represents the collective dream of
life in matter, from which we have not yet awakened. Our earthly days are a dream-state, where we
are asleep in a place that seems to have both good and evil realities. (I often write of this as being like Dorothy
in the Land of Oz. Remember that Dorothy
awakened from her Oz-dream, to find that the wicked witch was gone, because the
place called Oz had never existed in reality.
Thus, when Dorothy awakened from her earthly
dream to find herself back in her own home, safe and sound, she realized
that the land of Oz had only been a false sense of reality…not her real
Home, at all.) So,
(like Dorothy) when we awaken to the spiritual truth of being in the kingdom of
God, we find that there never was, an evil side to God’s divine creation. There is no death, there is no sickness, there
is no ‘bad’ anywhere in Spirit’s realm.
Our loved ones (who have awakened to their true, spiritual selves before
us) are already forever safe in the kingdom of God; for there was never such a
thing as ‘death’ in God’s forever kingdom.
Physical death is just another scary dream we once believed in. When
Christ Jesus was preaching to the masses that followed him, he was asked by a
Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come,
the Bible tells us, “He answered
them and said, “The kingdom of God
does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there! For, indeed, the kingdom of God is within
you.” (Luke 17:20-22; NKJV) Jesus was telling his followers that
the kingdom of God was sleeping within their own memory banks. We don’t have to go anywhere to find God…we
only have to awaken to the spiritual truth of being, and the memories will
begin to unfold from within us. Now, the divine Truth, and the place
called, Heaven, dwells within each of us, not in a material realm of perception. So don’t try to find it in any space or time
connected to matter. The material realm
is a dream-state from which we must all awaken. Then, like Dorothy’s time in Oz, we’ll awaken
to find that we had never, really been separated from God, our one and only
Source of being. We have been sleeping
in God’s presence, all along, ignorant of that presence. It is wise to realize that our beliefs in
a ‘physical reality’ are our collective beliefs…not the truth of being. Our human (material) beliefs change with the
wind. We blindly accept every new idea
and spread the ‘news’ to as many people as we can, including ourselves. Then we wonder why our daily lives turn out
to be so disappointing and confusing. The
physical realm turns out to be so muddled because there is no true reality in a
‘physical’ realm. Truth only comes from the spiritual realm of God. Yet, we each, unknowingly,
are sleeping in the divine Presence, whether we can perceive it or not. That infinite, loving Spirit we call God
never loses sight of any of Its offspring, nor a blade of grass. In our finite, material, false sense of
reality and our own false sense of our very being, we can spend years in the false
beliefs of who we really are, and where we really are. But, our divine Father, Mother is always watching
us, even in our sleep, for that precious moment when we truly awaken for all
time. |
